Any thoughts on changing from CenOS to rPath's custom built OS for Asterisk?
Thought the TB community might request changing from CentOS to rpath's custom built OS for Asterisk.
Digium partnered up with rPath for all Asterisk versions. Looks like a good idea, and becouse it is made specificly for Asterisk maybe we can prevent future bugs like the spinlock hell we've all experienced.
Here's the link if you guys are interested:

Here's the link for the news article announcing the partnership:

Please add your thoughts.
Yes looks like the way to go forward.

Pound Key is stripped down to nothing..
Astrisk works fine on it..
but all the addons of the TRixBox bundle would not work...
Centos is the best route to go with a project like this
It would make no sense to try to beef up PoundKey to work with all the fluff of trixbox
Pound Key would be if you where building embedded systems or using real low end hardware..
I agree with Bubba. I downloaded the rpath build and hated every minute since then.
CentOS is stable - works with all red hat RPM's. Trixbox is a project for people who want to extend VoIP to more then just a dial tone.
