Am I In Way Over Trixbox to My Head?

Trying to connect an SPA400 with Trixbox.

Just a question:

The SPA400 has 4 FXO ports to connect 4 different POTS lines.

Is it possible to get Trixbox to route to a particular FXO port based on DID?

And vice versa

Is it possible to route incoming calls from the SPA400 to particular Trixbox destinations?

This is all I need to know.

PLEASE!

I do not understand the question. What DID's? SPA400 is an analog adapter and does not support any type of DID

Hey Scott, I really

Hey Scott, I really appreciate the post.

Could you elaborate more on how to route incoming calls from the SPA400 to a particular SIP trunk on the Trixbox so that the Trixbox can route the call to a destination?

For instance:

The SPA has 4 FXO ports.

If I could have 4 POTS lines connected to it, each with a different DID, I want it to map, based on DID, to a particular trunk.

and vice versa. If I call out from an extension on the Trixbox, how can I make sure it goes out of a particular port on the SPA400?

POTS does not have DID's so

POTS does not have DID's so I am still unclear.

If you simply want to map each port to an extension you need to have the SPA-400 dial a digit pattern when it forwards the call to the trixbox and then use an inbound route.

I have not idea on the SPA-400 configuration for either scenario, I don't use these devices.

To select a trunk per extension you need to install the FreePBX custom context module.

He's simply mixing up terms.

He's simply mixing up terms.
A DID from a SIP provider is basically a phone number. Thus since a POTS line is a phone number he's assuming it is a DID.

ngarciait,
What you need to do is assign a Zap Channel DID. It is in the menu right after Incoming Routes. Then you will have a DID you can assign in your incoming routes.
