I was just wondering if anyone has paid the $50 bucks and setup freephoneline.ca as a SIP trunk with trixbox and got it working fully.

Any working in and outbound configs that you can share would be great too!

Thanks

I'm using my freephoneline as my main line plus extras

I'm using my freephoneline.ca for local calls and other sip's for long distance (Poivy, Yupeephone). this system is now my main line and very wife friendly. I started using trixbox but moved on to Elastix, is config below,

type=friend
context=from-trunk
username=usernamefromphoneline.cawhichisthephonenumber
secret=passwordfromfreephonline.ca
fromuser=usernamefromphoneline.cawhichisthephonenumber
host=voip.freephoneline.ca
qualify=yes
insecure=very
nat=yes
canreinvite=no
fromdomain=voip.freephoneline.ca
dtmfmode=inband
allow=ulaw&g729
disallow=all

Register String:
username:password@voip.freephoneline.ca

btw make sure you forward all your ports properly when using a router

inbound

Did you have any luck setting up inbound calls with it? Did you run into any issues with the setup?

Using as my main line so

Using as my main line so inbound calls are not a problem, using IVR system for calling out, callback, calling to google talk. it's pretty sweet.

Anyone else has problems?

I cannot call any outbound number since yesterday with my FPL registered account. No problem for the inbound calls.
The message says "this account number is not valid" but of course I use the right/same settings. Even funnier, it works from x-lite.
The customer guy, as usually, is the dummiest I've ever seen; it asked me to switch on port 6061 which does not even support SIP connections... Every time I call them, I waste my time. They always talk like experts but they don't even listen when I describe the issue.
Please feel free to provide any suggestion.

"this account number is not valid"

Try setting your useragent to something other than asterisk
