I am seekng help with a SIP trunk question maybe pertaining to registration but I'm not sure.
I use Voicestick as my SIP provider and I've read in several places you have to re register sip with them every hour and you have to do that with a script.
I was testing incoming calls on a regular basis and I found that a lot of time after a length of time my incoming calls would go to Voicestick voicemail system automatically and say I wasn't available, and never hit my trixbox. When I would see this happen I’d go in and manually reload sip and I could get calls.
Well I had a friend get in and help me do it to where sip reloads every 10 minutes. I'm very new at this BTW. I can watch sip reload every 10 minutes but still think I miss calls. For example sip reloaded and I called myself via my cell and it went straight to the voicestick vm system or what I think is their vm system. I tried it again immediately after I hung up and the call went through to my trixbox system.
Can someone offer any assistance to a very big newbie?
