This last week I put in two Trixbox machines - one on 2.2 and one on 2.4. Both of these have the Rhino RCB24FXX cards in them with 8 FXO and 4 FXS ports.
Here's what I'm trying to do...
They want to be able to forward incoming calls at night to either an answering service or a cell phone. I turned on forwarding in FreePBX and had them use *72 to do the forwarding. When a call comes in with this setup the caller is correctly forwarded to the number the user chose. The issue comes in when someone hangs up the call - as the Rhino card does not see either end hung up on the FXO cards. The calls stay nailed up until I do a reboot of the system.
I have both sites now using 72# through the phone company for forwarding, but that is not 100% b/c that forwards the Zap trunk they go out on, and not necessarily all calls (since they have a main number that is in a hunt group).
Maybe there is a better way to do this and I just don't know it yet. It's been a while since I put in any Asterisk based systems (I'm an old Avaya G3 guy by heart), but I've got about 30 of these going in for my company over the next 18 months if I can fit them into my schedule - so I want to get this working before I deploy more systems.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Edit:
I called Rhino support, but have not heard back on this issue yet. I'm hoping someone in the community had a similar issue. Thanks again.
