Sorry for the crosspost, but i'm afraid of getting no answer in the other post (too long) :)

Hi!

I'm new to the trixbox. I installed the CE version (2.2.4) successfully.
Did yum -y update and trixbox -update, too.

Now i tried to install a fritz!pci card with the help oft this and other howtos but
i cant't find a kernelmodule which is matching to my kernel.

When i type uname -r, i get the following:

2.6.9-34.9.2.EL

But on the different mirrors which are mentioned here there are only kernelmoduls
from xxx42 above.

How can i update the kernel? yum -y update dosn't update the kernel. Or is there
any other solution?

Thanks!

kernel

Hard way: But you stay as a TB build (kind off)
Grab the Srpms and rebuild
http://yum.trixbox.org/centos/4/SRPMS/

Easy Way: UnTrix the box

Edit the centos repo file and remove the exclude kernel lines (4 of them)

run yum -y install kernel kernel-devel

reboot

install away

are there any risks?

Are there any risks when i untrix the box?

Can someone tell me if there is an pcmcia card support included in the tb?
Cause it's exactly an pcmcia-adapter in pci-slot.
Now, i'm a little bit closer to the solution. I loaded the pcmcia drivers from ftp.avm.de,
installed the kernel-devel an builded my own install. But i'm not sure if it's working.
How can i find out if the tb found any pcmcia controllers/cards?

The install-process runs without errors, i think. It goes's back to the command-line after a while and says nothing about errors. But when i type capiinfo it says command not found.

Any ideas?
