I've just posted an update to install-ZAPHFC.
This version will cater for the spinklock.h issue in RedHat based distros.
It also uses my site for the Florz patches as Florz's site can often be unavailable.

Hi,
the script has an auto update so just type install-ZAPHFC on your TrixBox and it will ask if you want to update to the latest version

Updated with Junghanns patches for 1.2.9.1
Alan
I've just posted 1.2.0.10
The main feature is the inclusion of Junghann's test script to support Asterisk 1.4
I don't run 1.4 here, so I've not tested it. Any problems please reply to this thread.
I get this error trying running the script
[root@asterisk1 ~]# install-ZAPHFC
/usr/local/sbin/install-ZAPHFC: line 1411: syntax error near unexpected token `\)'
/usr/local/sbin/install-ZAPHFC: line 1411: ` 1.4.2 \)'
Any ideers ?
Regard
Medum
Tryed it on a other box - same result .( syntax Error)
Caused by a phone call during editing. I had already corrected that though I missed it when I diff'ed it against the original.
I've reposted - same version number.
Thanks
Thanks - now its OK

Read the file notes for details...
Thanks to KenC for the access to his system for testing this version.
Adds BRIstuff for Asterisk 1.2.18 following Junghanns release of bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-f
# 12 June 2007
# - Change the start-up order so that -V is not preceded by card detection.
# - Junghanns released bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-g
# - Updated Trixbox function. This should allow the script to work better when re-run or a TB install is in an unstable state.
# - Added some tests to the build phases of the script which will terminate the script on error. This will allow people to better debug the build problem and be less likely to be sidetracked by the subsequent problems they see.
# 14 June 2007
# - Following a couple of issues with the last few releases of BRIstuff not being able to download successfully from the mirror specified by Junghanns...
# Add a new function to handle the download and patching. By default this will be the Digium site.
# The new -M command line switch can be used to select another mirror. Currently there are only two mirror sites defined.
#
# - Junghanns released bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-h this is the first release to support * 1.2.19
This is not on the server yet as I'm seeing lots of errors on the link. But it should be there in the next few hours.
{edit} The problems with some new firewall firmware I'm testing. This update might not make it on-line for a while. I'll post to confirm when it is.
{edit} This is now on-line.
Fresh Trixbox 2.2
install-ZAPHFC -f t -R
ISDN trunks finally working both ways!
HUD Server and Asterisk status changed to unknown.
HUD broken and cannot install from Package Manager after a install-ZAPHFC
Any reason why?
Does the Flortz patch revert * back to an earlier version that FreePBX doesn't like?
Methinks

Your build log will show you what version was installed, quite possibly an earlier version as you asked for the tested Florz patch. If you only have one card then don't build with the Florz patch. If you do so because you get ISDN errors try disabling the APM functions in BIOS (see post from Frost http://www.trixbox.org/forums/trixbox-forums/open-discussion/flor...).
For the package manager issues see another post from Frost (http://www.trixbox.org/forums/trixbox-forums/trunks/no-more-packa...)
The status issues will also relate to the rpm being built differently.
I'll add these points to the help post when I get to update it next.
# 12 July 2007
# - Added Junghanns test release 2 for * 1.4
# 19 July 2007
# - Junghanns released bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-i this is the first release to support * 1.2.22
# - Added Junghanns test release 3 for * 1.4.8
# 19 July 2007
# - a ./configure is required when building * 1.4
# 20 July 2007
# - changed asterisk build checks to cope with 1.4
If you've had problems building * 1.4 then these should now be resolved.
# 26 July 2007
# - Junghanns released bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-j for * 1.2.23
# - Junghanns released test release 4 for * 1.4.9
# 14 September 2007
# - Changed ftp to http for Digium's site. ftp seems to have been taken off-line.
# - Added a simple test to differentiate between the different output of older and newer versions of lspci.
# - Junghanns released bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-k for * 1.2.24
# - Update the Florz patch data for the tested options for releases after Junghanns 0.3.0-PRE-1y-e and later - as (now?) on Florz's website.
# 9 November 2007
# - Added code to differentiate between 2 and 4 port HFC-4S cards.
This does include an extension to how card detection is being done so I would be particularly glad to here from 4 and 8 port card users that this runs OK with their cards.
Hi Alan,
On a fresh install 1.3.12 works fine, but on a fresh install after updates:
( I installed using install-ZAPHFC -R)
update-trixbox.sh update
yum -y update
and installing munin trough the package manager
the 1.3.12 script gives errors:
...
-----------------------------------------------------
Setting up zaptel configuration

/usr/local/sbin/install-ZAPHFC: line 727: [: 0: unary operator expected

indeed, there is no zaptel in the etc/sysconfig directory (only the rpm renamed version)
also the zaptel.conf in /etc needs to be manually added
p.s. simply putting the correct zaptel file in place seems to get things working, so I'd say this is a minor issue.
fgrep: /etc/sysconfig/zaptel: No such file or directory
Quote:
I'll add this to the list of things to check.
I noticed that the install-ZAPHFC script is gone in 2.2.8. Bit of a bummer for us with HFC ISDN cards out there. I hope this was an oversight of the dev team. Of course it is simple to get the latest version like this:
wget http://brightheadtechnology.com/other/aah/install-ZAPHFC
chmod +x and then run it.
However; 2.2.8 is supposed to work OK with fax. Before the script is run dialing 666 gives me a 'fax tone'. After running the script I get disconnected rigth away. What might be causing this?
I would guess TB have added fax to the rpm.
You would need to reproduce the fax build under the BRIstuff dirs to achieve the same thing.
# 5 December 2007
# - Moved 'make clean' to before ./configure for asterisk build
# - Junghanns released bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-m for * 1.2.25
# 10 December 2007
# - Fixed a bug introduced when code catering for the different versions of lspci was written.
# - Junghanns have changed the way they patch (from bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-m for * 1.2.25). Changed the pacth routine to cope with this.
# 19 December 2007
# - There have been several reports of /etc/sysconfig/zaptel being missing when re-running this script after updating Trixbox.
# - Added a function to test/create /etc/sysconfig/zaptel if needed.
# 25 January 2008
# - Junghanns released bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-n for * 1.2.26 (recorded for completeness)
# - Junghanns released bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-o for * 1.2.26 (recorded for completeness)
# - Junghanns released bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-p for * 1.2.26
# - Junghanns released test release 5 for * 1.4.16
# - Junghanns released test release 6 for * 1.4.17
There is a new Florz patch yet to be added. I'll do this in a few days once I know this release runs OK.
