I have trixbox 2.8.0.3 with sangoma a108 installed and connected to two telco pri lines and two legacy tenovis i3. Everything is working good except one thing - there is annoying issue with busy status. When I'm placing call from telco to tenovis or from one i3 to second and tenovis extension is free I have proper dial tone and then connection. Unfortunatelly when tenovis extension is busy (making internal or external call) and I'm trying to call this extension I have 20s silence and then busy tone - this situation occurs only if call involves bridging two pri (telco and i3 or i3 and i3). Calling from sip client connected to asterisk through telco or to i3 works fine including immediately busy tone if approriate. This 20s silence behaviour is really annoying for users and I have to find fix for this - maybe someone here had similar issue and has any tips :)
sangoma a108 - busy problem on bridged pri
Hi,
Please send step 9 from http://wiki.sangoma.com/wanpipe-linux-asterisk-debugging#pri_span... into techdesk@sangoma.com with a description of the issue and we can help you out from there.
I have found a problem and it's not related to sangoma but to builtin macro-dialout-trunk in extensions_additional.conf. In this macro we have section related to busy
exten => s-BUSY,1,Noop(Dial failed due to trunk reporting BUSY - giving up)
exten => s-BUSY,n,Playtones(busy)
exten => s-BUSY,n,Busy(20)
but when I'm bridging call acros two pri's (from telco to tenovis) and tenovis extension is busy channels aren't answered so playtones doesn't play anything but Busy(20) keeps channels "alive" for 20s and that's the reason for 20s silence and then busy tone from telco (I was testing this calling from mobile to tenovis internal extension)
as a simple workaround I'm answering channel if call is from one i3 to second (on answered channel Playtones(busy) works and play for 20s - Busy(20)) and use Busy(0) without answering if call is from telco to tenovis
----------------------------------------------
during another couple days of using this system life another two problems/questions arise
1. Is it possible to make a dialup data connection from ISDN modem connected to tenovis through asterisk and a108 to telco dialup service? (such connection worked when telco was connected to tenovis)
2. I have problem with connecting tenovis management software to i3 pbx through asterisk - according to logs there is native bridge between pri's with digital type but connection drops immedietly. I think that this problem is related to first one with modem data conenction.
thanks for any tips or suggestions :)
