Manager dials from HUD and the secretary's phone rings..?!
happens randomally from all extensions in the system (around 10) when someone dials from the hud and the secretary's phone rings not his phone.. its allways the secretary's phone ringing not anyone else.
lets say hud is connected with extension 912 credintials and he tries to dial from his outlook... instead of his phone ringing we hear the secretary's phone ringing. (ext 900).
why is this happening? is this a bug?
Isaac
Shouldn't happen, I have never seen that before. We would need some asterisk CLI logs to figure out what its trying to do.
maybe it has something to do with it but the system is based on thin client computers with terminal server 2003. so maybe the hud client has a problem with TS?
That is very possible. I can certainly say it has never been tested in an environment like that. The only way to really see what is happening is output from the Asterisk CLI.
That problem appears to be resolved. We did experience that exact same problem, and I submitted a trouble ticket for it a while back.
Fonality's HUD Client will not run properly on Microsoft Windows Terminal Server 2003. This has to do with the way that the HUD client stores it's configuration files, and the way that MS Terminal Server stores them for each 'user'. For this reason you can only have one successful installation of HUD per terminal services, otherwise you get this symptom that is described above.
Thanks,
Mike
Are there any updates to this issue? we are running hud3.0 in terminal services 2008. hud works great except for the outlook add-on. it will only connect an outlook initiated call to the first user logged in.
There is no update as far as I know...HUD is not designed to run in TS. That being said...it should be considered for future releases. Please submit a suggestion to us via the light bulb icon in the CP.
