Can anyone tell me how to implement the persistent handset volume setting for a Polycom IP330 phone on a trixbox pro system that has auto generated phone configs?

There is a post here http://trixbox.org/forums/vendor-moderated-forums/polycom/polycom... that explains the changes that need to be made but I was unable to find any reference in the sip.cfg to those settings.

Gasmanz, Not all changes are

Gasmanz,

Not all changes are in sip.cfg - you might want to look in the MAC.cfg file (the MAC address of the phone).

Mike,

Mike,

Just found the entries in the ipmid.cfg file. If I change the settings will they remain permanent or does the ipmid.cfg file get synced back to the original version kept on the hybrid hosted servers?

Once the changes are made will restarting the phones get them to pick up the new settings?

Gasmanz, ipmid.cfg will get

Gasmanz,

ipmid.cfg will get generated periodically when you make changes to the control panel. I will see if we can change the template to persist=1 in the next release of trixbox Pro.

Thanks,

Mike,

If I change the settings in the ipmid.cfg and restart the phones will they pick up the changes and allow persistent volume?

When is the next release of trixbox pro going to be available?

Gasmanz, Yes, the phones

Gasmanz,

Yes, the phones should get the change after the reboot. As far as the release date of the next version... I like my job so I will let that information get published by Chris L :). Soon though.

Cheers!
