Just ran into a bug on Cisco phones running their 7.x firmware today that I thought you Fonality guys out to be aware of.
I have a client who was having issues with some handsets not displaying the date and time at the top left of the screen.
Turns out that this is a known Cisco bug (bug ID: CSCsa96616) when the SIPDefault.cnf file has the sntp_mode: variable set to "DirectedBroadcast". The fix is to change the value of that variable to "anycast". The reason I mention it here, is that "anycast" is the default recommended value from Cisco according to their documentation.
This has me in a situation where I've had to put a hand-edited file onto a Pro system at my client. I'm concerned that this one-off is likely not backed up by the main Fonality server.
Can the default value for this variable be updated to "anycast"?
Thanks,
