480i Handset Off Hook not registering

Where can I configure the behavior of handset?

I have a couple Aastra 480i phones that do not give me a dial tone when I pick up the handset off hook.
I can push the green speaker phone button, and toggle audio between the speaker, and then the handset.

When I push the hook to the off position the phone hangs up (so i know the hook works)

I have looked in the "Set Audio" settings on the phone and toggled between speaker, headset speaker/ headset , and headset,speaker which does not affect the behavior of the handset.

Thanks for any advice.

I've come across this on a number of 480i's as well - I always thought it was a hardware issue with the hook not making proper contact. I've only noticed it on units that are wall mounted though.

Not much help I know, but you may want to talk to Aastra directly about this.

Power issues

I continually have this issue.

Have you experienced it with POE?

I found jiggling the hook button sometimes get's it back working again.
I took a phone apart and the hook button is pretty simple and makes contact with the sensor, so I am not sure how it could be a mechanical issues.

Have you had any more issues, or any solutions for this?
