Hi everyone my name is Tristan and I am new to these forums. I was wondering if anyone had an aastra.cfg for a 6739i or if someone could tell me where to get a template before I try to build it from scratch. Would this use the same config that a 6755i would use? I would really appreciate some help.

Why not use the Asterisk XML

Why not use the Asterisk XML scripts to provision the phone? The latest beta has support for the 6739i

A large thread is going on

A large thread is going on right now:

http://trixbox.org/forums/vendor-forums-certified/aastra-endpoint...

The package is easy to install and works great. It also makes all of the buttons work on the 6739i with features such as directories and follow me applications. The server based XML apps make that phone shine.

Will this script work with

Will this script work with broadsoft? I am not using tribox at my office. We have 55i's and 57is running at our office, and they pull an aastra.cfg form the tftp server and auto create a mac.cfg i believe after the phone is authenicated. Can this script help generate my aastra.cfg to put on tftp server?

Yes, it would. You would

Yes, it would. You would have to alter the aastra.cfg for the registration info.

Hmm

I cant find where to download these scripts. I really just need an aastra.cfg from a 6739i that I can alter for my needs. Im not sure if these scripts will even work on our setup.

Why don't you try Aastra's

Why don't you try Aastra's instructions for the Beta scripts:
# cd /tmp
# wget http://65.205.71.13/2.3.0/aastra-xml-scripts-2.3.0-1-Beta4.noarch...
# rpm -i aastra-xml-scripts-2.3.0-1-Beta4.noarch.rpm
Potentially to solve dependencies
# yum install avahi
# yum install php-gd
# yum install php-ldap
End of potentially
# setup-aastra-xml
# /var/www/html/aastra/utilities/check_install
# /var/www/html/aastra/utilities/apply_prf –r ALL

aastra-ipphone >= 2.5.3 is needed by aastra-xml-scripts-2.3.0-1.noarch

Where do I obtain that file? I have an aastra.cfg built but I cant get it to generate a mac.cfg for the phones..

ok.

I got it to stop showing dependencies, but what it the actual command to start the script? My main issue is the phone is pulling the aastra.cfg and coming to an authenication screen, but it is not accepting the username (phone number) and password set. I have only been able to get the phone to work via the web interface, i cannot get it to generate a mac.cfg like our 55i and 57i do.

You may still need to add a

You may still need to add a section for the 39i in /var/www/html/aastra/asterisk/demo-user.prf.

Ahh

lol this is getting frustrating. We are not running asterisk server, we have broadsoft 16 platform. The process we follow is to provision the phones in our internal system, then auth the phones on the phones themselves. Our aastra 55i and 57i auth properly, but i cannot get this 39 to accept the user name and password without doingn it manually in the web interface..

when im trying "setup-aastra-xml it is bring up text mode setup utility and not bringing up the script itself..

Why don't you read the

Why don't you read the documentation instead of asking us? This is a trixbox forum.

The scripts hook into the FreePBX database.

The phones administrative manual also fully covers provisioning from a .cfg file.
