Call drops, Calls failed

I have a very annoying problem in my recent setup. I have a few 57i and a couple of 6731 phones in my small office environement using Trixbox CE 2.6.2.3 with XML scripts 2.2.1
The problems I experience seems to be related to phones randomly failing to dial (be it local extension or outbound trunk), occasional call dropping when attempting to park, the call being put on hold and could not be retrieved. It happens randomly--one time thinngs work great, the other time random stuff like that happens. One thing that doesn't seem to happen is that the call in progress does not get dropped if none of the holding, parking, transfer features are attempted. This is not limited to a particular extension. I don't think it is a dialplan problem during failed outbound calls, as calls seem to get through without issue few seconds later. When call fails, CLI console shows nothing in asterisk, as if it never left the phone prior to failing. All phones are running firmware 2.5.3.18 and I tried to revert to earlier versions without success..
I think there is some sort of network issue. Phones go in random "No service" state unless I change Global SIP time time out settings to

Registration Failed Retry Timer 1
Registration Timeout Retry Timer 120
Registration Renewal Timer 0

I never had to do this in my prior setups. Phones all have DHCP assigned IP addresses. This problem persisted even after I gave phones static IPs and pointed to DNS to the IP address of my Sonicwall router or my trixbox.

Please help.

The phones and the trixbox

The phones and the trixbox are not on the same LAN?

If they are you have a network issue and are dropping packets somewhere. Check everything from the wiring to the switchports.

Is the Ethernet interface on the trixbox taking errors?

The phones and trixbox are

The phones and trixbox are on the same lan. There is no dropped packets on trixbox ethernet interface at all. All cabling seems to be in order. I wonder if it is my POE switch. The thing is, the issue started after I rebuilt my trixbox to install the current version (new install). So I am not that certain it is hardware issue.
