Can no longer perform a blind transfer after using 'directory' with Aastra 57i and Trixbox 2.6.2.2

Hello,

In the old Aastra 57i firmware versions, whilst on a call, you could use the directory to perform a blind transfer. This is no longer possible and instead after using the directory you only have the option to perform an attended transfer.

Usage;
One active call, you press 'Xfer', the call is placed on hold, you press the top left 'directory' button, you choose your contact, you can then either press 'Xfer' (to blind transfer) or 'dial' (to attended transfer). In the new 57i firmware and Trixbox 2.6.2.2 scripts however, there is no xfer button, only dial!!!

Thanks in advance.

Anyone?!?! Why has the

Anyone?!?!

Why has the 'Xfer' button been removed after selecting the 'directory' button??????

Old functionality;
'Xfer', 'directory', 'Xfer' or 'dial'.

Now you only have;
'Xfer', 'directory', 'dial'.

We really need to be able to do blind transfers again...
Thanks.

Which directory application are you referring to?

Not sure we understand your problem, which Directory application are you referring to? Is that the XML directory which displays the list of users configured on Trixbox CE or is it the embedded phone directory?

The XML directory never had a Xfer key. We will need to check for the embedded directory.

So can you please tell us which application are you talking about?

Regards

Hi aastra1, it is the

Hi aastra1, it is the 'directory' button located at the top left of the Aastra phone (I think button 2) by default after installing a fresh Trixbox and provisioning an Aastra 57i from scratch.

I can prove without doubt that on 2.6.1.1 and Aastra firmware 2.4 that you could press 'Xfer', 'directory', 'Xfer'.
I can make a video and prove that it used work if you like. It would be a hassle as the old hard drive with 2.6.1.1 installed is disconnected and I would have to roll a phone back, but if you really don't believe me I will if i have too, as people are screaming at me to get this functionality back.

I do not know where the embedded directory is or how to use it.
If the embedded directory has both blind and attended transfers how can we use that instead?

Thank you for your time.

Just logged into the web

Just logged into the web interface on one of the phones for you, and it is the XML based 'directory';
http://
:80/aastra/asterisk/directory.php?user=$$SIPUSERNAME$$

And it was the XML directory on the old firmware and trixbox scripts, and there was definately an Xfer button after choosing a contact from the directory list.

Please let me know if you would like me to do a video proving this for you, as it might help show where we are going wrong.

Thanks

Hi Aastra. Sorry for the

Hi Aastra.
Sorry for the slow reply.

We have found a work around;
You are on a call, press 'Xfer' (bottom left softkey), press 'directory' (second down from top left softkey), find desired contact, press 'dial' (bottom left softkey)(this will start an attended transfer), very quickly press 'more' (bottom right softkey), then press 'Xfer' (bottom left softkey). The call will then be changed from an attended into a blind after pressing the final Xfer.

When do you think you might be able to finish the scripts to include a blind transfer directly from the directory.

Thank you for your time.
