Can't call when there is a dialtone
We have some Polycom Sounpoint IP 501's and trixbox. If I just dial the number then hit new call it works fine. However, if I get a dialtone first buy hitting New Call or Line 1 button, then dial, I get "all circuits are busy." We suspect that it may be some sort of timeout value that needs to be adjusted. Has anyone got any tips on how to fix this?
What is your dial plan??
311

911

9911
9|.
9|011.

9|1888NXXXXXX
9|1NXXNXXXXXX
9|NXXNXXXXXX
9|NXXXXXX
that's not a polycom recognized dial plan. you would need something along the lines of:
[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxT
are you provisioning the phone via tftp or ftp?
or are you just hardcoding it via the web gui??
Wingnut,
The phones are provisioned via ftp but this is what came out of freepbx.
does the phone let you input all the numbers you dial when you try it with dial tone? or does it just cut you off after a certain number of digits and try to place the call? i had the same problem when i started with polycoms due to the dial plan. i would try to dial ext. 100 and it would cut me off after putting in 10 and try to call ext. 10. same as you, i could dial the number and it would work fine if i did not allready have dial tone.
try looking in sip.cfg for something like:
< digitmap dialplan.digitmap="[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxT" dialplan.digitmap.timeOut="3|3|3|3|3|3"/ >
Wingnut,
Yes, you are correct. It cuts off the last two digits if I'm trying to call outside so that 91-702-577-2435 becomes 91-702-577-24. I'll check out the sip.cfg file and see what is going on there. Thanks.
yes that would be it for sure, you are wanting to dial a total of 12 digits
this part of the dial plan:
[2-9]xxxxxxxxx
is what it applies.
you dial a 9 first so it grabs the above rule, then allows a total of 9 digits that follow and no more
if you change that section in sip.cfg to something like:
[2-9]xxxxxxxxxxx
then it should work
(you will have to reboot all phones after this change is made for them to download the new config files)
Cool, thanks. I'll take a look at it and try your suggestion.
