Is there a certain upgrade path for IP320 phones with bootrom 3.2.3.0004 (I guess that pre RevB). I have some phones with these, some of which, if I skip the upgrade will run fine. Yet I have others which will give application not found or something like that and cannot continue further. Bootrom update, of course fails for these. If anybody has any insights, please let me know. Thanks.
Ok, it seems these are beta units. Maybe that's why it won't support any new bootrom. But there must be some way I can put some mac.cfg and some version of sip to make it work with the current bootrom? Help please, anyone??
Beta units usually should be returned to Polycom at the end of the beta. Beta units are signed differently so they will only accept Polycom beta code. Nothing you can do but buy some non-beta replacements.
Thanks for the info. I am not sure from where and how we got the beta units, but I don't think we will be sending them back.
