Polycom phones show display different

hi i have some 550 and 650 phones that have different display on the phones. I am ussing bootrom 4.1.3 and sip 3.2.1

The phones that are working display fine, dial fine. The phones that are not working have the time shown at the top. When a user goes to dial a number the number does not display if the phone is on the hook.

The only notable differences I see in the phone are the bootblock: Working is 2.8.1(12600_001) non working is 12500_001 and assembly: working 2345-12600-001 Rev: G not working is 345-12500-001 rev. R

I have attached some pictures so you can get an Idea of what's right and what's wrong.

I have replaced all files on my tftp and exracted fresh from the zips mentioned above, deleted the .cfg files for the phones mac and recreated in the end point manager. The phones provision fine, its just the display.

The last two pictures (last pic pg1, 1st pic pg2) are what the correct display should look like on two phones.
Can anyone provide any insight as to why this is happening and what I can do to fix?
