Hello,

I've just tried to install wanpipe-modules-2.6.18-128.1.10.el5.i686 in Trixbox 2.8 but it tries to install Zaptel.

My understanding is Zaptel is now DAHDI so I'm wondering if Sangoma are support this in Trixbox?

Does anyone know?

Rob

Unconfigured Kernel

Thanks John for your links.

Yes, I'd seen these but installing wanpipe-3.5.4 from source generates an unconfigured kernel error:

'ERROR: The /lib/modules/2.6.18-128.1.10.el5/build contains a fresh, unconfigured kernel!'

I'm told to either run 'make dep modules' in the Linux source directory or contact Sangoma Technical Support.

So, I've contacted technical support!

It would be nice if there was some synergy between Trixbox and Sangoma.

Hi, To fix this I would

Hi,

To fix this I would recommend running "yum remove kernel-devel; yum -y install kernel-devel-$(uname -r)" and this will get the latest kernel-devel package for you. Now If this still doesn't work then please enable SSH access and call me directly at 1-905-474-1990 x123.

Now for the Trixbox and Dahdi issue, this was a compiling issue with Dahdi 2.2 (a structure changed from Dahdi 2.1 to 2.2) which has been fixed in our 3.5.4.3 driver which can be found at ftp://ftp.sangoma.com/linux/custom/3.5/wanpipe-3.5.4.3.tgz. Now as you can see this is our driver source, so to install this go to http://wiki.sangoma.com/wanpipe-asterisk-trixbox-rpms#drivfrmsour.... Now since we now have a driver we will have RPMs on our wiki at http://wiki.sangoma.com/wanpipe-asterisk-trixbox-rpms by end of day Tuesday (July 7).

Hi, Trixbox 2.8.0.1 rpms

Hi,

Trixbox 2.8.0.1 rpms can be downloaded from ftp://ftp.sangoma.com/linux/RPMS/2.8.0.1/. Now BRI is not supported in these rpms but we will have releases on our wiki shortly which will support BRI as well.

Hello Marc!

Anything new about BRI drivers? I have A500 BRI on 2.8.0.1 and wiki info is still not updated and drivers do detect the card but smg_ctrl is missing and so on...

Hi Alen, Currently we have

Hi Alen,

Currently we have ran into some issues with getting the RPM's built for Trixbox. Our engineers are working on this issue and it will be resolved ASAP. If you need this right away you can install asterisk from the source. Now for help with this you can enable SSH and give me a call at 1-905-474-1990 x123.

Hello Marc! Thank you for

Hello Marc!

Thank you for your help, I can wait for RPM's no worries. Recompiling is not a problem for me, but I am not in such a hurry. Is it possible that RPM's will be out this week?

Alen

Hi Alen, Yes we should have

Hi Alen,

Yes we should have these RPMs out this week. But with this said as you know we are having issues with them so there could be more unexpected delays since this is not just a normal RPM build. I can assure you the engineer working on this is trying to get the issue sorted out as soon as possible.

Hello Marc!

As RPMćs are still not available, are there any manuals to follow for asterisk recompiling? I don't have a problem with this process, just need info on what to patch/include!

Issue Sangoma A200 + trixbox appliance + trixbox 2.8.0.1 version

Hello guys,

I recently bought a trixbox appliance and the preloaded images (PRO/CE) had some issues, so we installed a fresh copy of trixbox CE.
We decided to install the latest stable version 2.8.0.1, and followed all the necessary steps to take advantange on the appliance with CE installed.

The issue here is, that the appliance was ordered with two Sangoma A200, 4 FXO ports each one, and after downloading the latest sangoma driver from their site (RPMs) nothing happens.

I want t know if there's an special configuration to perform in order to start using my FXO cards.

Thanks for your valuable help.

Hi Alen, The issue is not

Hi Alen,

The issue is not the RPMs with 2.8 it is building our driver with the Asterisk source Trixbox uses. There has been some new modifiications to the source and this is causing our driver to have compiling issues. So the engineers are just working there way through all the bugs in the compiling. So for the BRI you will need to go with 2.6, but with our other cards you can follow the steps from my previous post.
