BT200 in endpoint manager

I've read thru 21 pages of forum postings and couldn't find any direct answer so I'm creating a new topic to hopefully address this:

How does one setup the BT200's thru the Endpoint manager? Only two phones show up as options.

I ran setup-grandstream on the server. I've set my phones to look to the server for updates (two have Software Version: Program-- 1.1.6.44 Bootloader-- 1.1.6.6 and one has Software Version: Program-- 1.1.6.32 Bootloader-- 1.1.6.5

I had all directed to TFTP the Grandstream site, that didn't help. They're now directed back at my server. I finally got the one with Software Version: Program-- 1.1.6.32 Bootloader-- 1.1.6.5 to recognize and update the NTP by directing it to the local server (for WHATEVER reason it refused to see ANY other outside source - yet the other two phones did just fine!)

Lastly, how do I upload custom ringtones to these phones? I have the ringtone creation software and have made the appropriate files, but I'm unsure of exactly where to place them at this point.

Thanks!

Hi I update the firmware for the BT200 via the grandstream site but insofar as the config I treat it like a normal GXP2000 it seem that the config file is compatible.

firmware and NTP change

I cleared the phones from my server and reinstalled all three of them. Adjusted them to what you described above (firmware/GS, config/TB).

Rebooted phones.

The stupid time is gone again from the one in our guest room! I didn't change anything there for the NTP server (it's still set to the TB server IP). This is one temperamental phone!

Your thoughts? Maybe do a total factory reset??

I had some issues with the

I had some issues with the clock display on my phones until i figured out the values you need to use for the timezone setting in

/tftpboot/Grandstream_GXP2000_Default.txt

The values are as follows:

0 = GMT-12:00 (International Date Line West)
60 = GMT-11:00 (Midway Island, Samoa)
120 = GMT-10:00 (US Hawaiian Time)
180 = GMT-9:00 (US Alaska Time)
240 = GMT-8:00 (US Pacific Time, Los Angeles)
300 = GMT-7:00 (US Mountain Time, Denver)
360 = GMT-6:00 (US Central Time, Chicago)
420 = GMT-5:00 (US Eastern Time, New York)
450 = GMT-4:30 (Venezuela)
480 = GMT-4:00 (Atlantic Time, Quebec)
510 = GMT-3:30 (Newfoundland)
540 = GMT-3:00 (Greenland)
600 = GMT-2:00 (Mid-Atlantic)
660 = GMT-1:00 (Azores, Cape Verdi Is.)
720 = GMT (London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, Casablanca, Monrovia)
780 = GMT+1:00 (Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome, Vienna, Madrid, Warsaw, Brussels)
840 = GMT+2:00 (Israel, Cairo, Athens, Helsinki, Istanbul, Buchrest)
900 = GMT+3:00 (Moscow, Kuwait, Baghdad, Tehran, Nairobi)
930 = GMT+3:30 (Tehran)
960 = GMT+4:00 (Abu Dhabi, Baku)
990 = GMT+4:30 (Kabul)
1020 = GMT+5:00 (Islamabad, Ekaterinburg, Karachi, Tashkent)
1050 = GMT+5:30 (Chennai, New Delhi, Mumbai)
1065 = GMT+5:45 (Kathmandu)
1080 = GMT+6:00 (Almaty, Astana, Dhaka, Novosibirsk)
1110 = GMT+6:30 (Rangoon)
1140 = GMT+7:00 (Bankok, Jakarta, Hanoi, Krasnoyarsk)
1200 = GMT+8:00 (Beijing, Singapore, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Irkutsk, Perth)
1260 = GMT+9:00 (Japan, Korea, Yakutsk)
1290 = GMT+9:30 (Adelaide, Darwin)
1320 = GMT+10:00 (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Guam, Hobart)
1380 = GMT+11:00 (Magadan, Solomon Is., New Caledonia)
1440 = GMT+12:00 (Auckland, Wellington, Fiji)
1500 = GMT+13:00 (Nuku'alofa)

The values are not intuitive I know but they work. At least they did work for me.

Also make sure that if your NTP server is outside your network e.g. a public ntp server the phone has internet access. Ie it is not restricted from accessing the NTP server.

Patrick
