One touch parking

For the price, I think the GXP2020 and GXP2010 are pretty good phones, but they are lacking in some basic features as far as I can tell. Most importantly is the ability to park a call by pressing just one button. Theoretically this should be easy by programming one of the multipurpose keys to ##70#. Unfortunately, the MPK's don't work while in a call. If you set the "Enable MPK sending DTMF" feature in the web admin, you get the MPK to show ##70# on the screen but it doesn't sent the DTMF tones. Seems like a bug but when I contacted Grandstream support, they say: "I do not think this feature can be supported on the GXPs. The MPK cannot function during the call." What is the point of the "Enable MPK sending DTMF" function? The soft keys are pretty useless to try and configure anything other than the few functions they have pre-programed. It would be nice to have an in-call soft key to park the call. It'd be nice if they would add the ability to create a *8 pickup softkey on the idle screen for that matter as well.

I know this seems like a rant, but I was wondering if anyone has a work around for this without my users punching a bunch of keys to place a call on hold.

My customers have to do a transfer then hit the park button to park a call.

I agree with you. What I'd like to see is that the BLF's do a one-touch transfer when on a call. This would cover the park issue as well.
