Cisco 7970 display not releasing missed calls

I have my 7970G SIP 8-5-3 working pretty darn will with Asterisk now. Even working remotely while NAT'd. Love the SIP ALG in the Cisco SA520 router.

Even when the phone wasn't NATd though and directly conected to the Asterisk box, I have a problem that when I miss a phone call, the display won't release it. It still shows it as ringing. The Caller ID pops up, and the line button flashes organge. I can still make and receive calls, but if I miss another, the display will show a second incoming call.

Asterisk CLI doesn't show any active calls. The calls will clear if I reboot the phone, or if I select one of the missed calls, hit the redial soft key, then immediately hang up before the call connects.

Any ideas as to what might be causing this? I have to say I would never recommend a Cisco phone for a client, but the 7970G is a good looking phone with great voice quality.

Thanks.

Max

Uhhhhhh .. would love to

Uhhhhhh .. would love to learn a little more about your implementation of the SA520..

As per your issue, it may be that the mini ASA you have is acting as a SIP proxy (as me wanting to know a little more about the setup above) and it doesn't get the correct hangup signal and forward it to your phone.
