I am trying out the new 53i phones in place of the 9133i that I can no longer get. I can't seem to find a sample of the aastra.cfg file so I can make changes. Any direction would be appreciated.

You can start with your 9133i configuration files; that configuration should work out of the box on the 53i.
The one exception would be the programming of prgkey1 and prgkey2; you need to "unlock" these keys before you can re-program them from their default values of save and delete. The details are in the admin guide and latest release notes.
