Aastra on-hook dialing

Do any Aastra phones let you type + on-hook, and then dial the above when you go on-hook or press DIAL?

On my Aastra phone, when I hit while on-hook, it prevents any additional digit keys from being pushed.

coghlan, I think the forum

coghlan,

I think the forum tag handling messed up your post there.

But the latest 2.2.1 firmware for the 5i phones and new 9480i, 9143i phones allow you to type additional digits after pressing a speed dial key.

All you need to do is add a plus (+) to the end of the speed dial number. For example if you set a speed dial key as "123+" then it will allow you to add additional digits after the 123.

Hmmm, it killed the angle

Hmmm, it killed the angle brackets around "memory key" and "digits". The sequence I want is (on-hook), memory key, digits, handsfree or go off-hook (i.e. dial the number).

Yes, that's exactly what adding a plus (+) at the end of a speed dial value allows you to do in 2.2.1 (actually it's been there a while).

Thanks. The analog Aastra

Thanks.

The analog Aastra phones also suffer from the inability to append digits in the on-hook state. Is the firmware upgradable on their analog phones?
