Hi,
I have an Aastra 55i, which locked up totally and now it starts up writing :
APPLICATION NOT FOUND
to restore, go to recovery web page.

Recovery web page at : XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
ip left out.

this is what I type in the Recovery page :

Filename : 55i.st
Upgrade Type : Firmware
Download Protocol : TFTP
TFTP Server : Ip adresse of tftp server.

But when I press Download Firmware it just comes with an error : INVALID PARAMETERS

Am I doing something wrong here ??
and have anybody tried something similar??

cheers.
Michael

"INVALID PARAMETERS"

Same Problem here, please help!

Installed PumpKIN TFTP Server.

Entered into the Web recovery Page of my 53i:

Filename: 53i.st
Upgrade Type: Firmware
Download protocol: TFTP

TFTP Server: IP Adress
TFTP Path: empty

if I run a HTTP Server and enter the correspondig settings and

HTTP Path: /

-->

405 Method Not Allowed

nothing works. :-(

have it working !

After a few days looking for a solution, here are my comments about recovering an Aastra ip phone on web recovery mode (wrm).

When phone is on wrm, it just have an ip address, no gateway, no vlan, nothing else. This address is the one attribued before the problem. So the command computer and the tftp server have to be on the same physical and logical subnetwork.

It can be accomplished with a fixed ip pc running a tftp server (like tftd32 under windows, no installation) and the phone directly connected via ethernet cable, or via your VoIP network.

But even like that, it didn't work every time. In my case, I tried different OS and navigators.

I had it working with firefox, under RH4 and Ubuntu 9.04. Had it working so with Win7 and IE8. No luck with my XPSP3 and IE6/FF3.

Hope will help some to recover their phones.

Wishes. Pascal.

Solved?

I've had the same problems! But when I didn't tick send on the recoverypage but just (frustrated) slamed the "enter key" the tool said "Downloading firmware"!!!! I was able to replicate!! Maybe it's an error on the internal webpage!

Solved!!

After finding the phone again while moving, I decided to give it a go again. So I downloaded the newest firmware to the phone in this case a 55i
http://www.aastratelecom.com/cps/rde/xbcr/SID-3D8CCB6A-52569844/0...
And tried again, and this time it worked.

I had an tftp server installed on my linux firewall, gave the firewall an ip address in the same subnet as the phone, plugged to my poe switch. The phone booted into recovery web page, I gave my laptop a ip aswell in the same subnet, went to the recovery web page and pointed it to my linux firewall, and it magically received the firmware and booted again, and now the phone was working... :-)

Maybe it was the new firmware that did the trick.
