I have one of the newer Budgetone 101 phones. The firmware is the latest 1.0.8.33. BT100 REV 3.0 I see that there is an auto answer in the advanced settings, but this seems to be an all or none thing. Is it possible to do Intercom with this phone and trixbox? How?

No, it does not support intercom for asterisk.
I have BT200's, not 100's, but if you have the following options in the ACCOUNT menu set them like this:
Auto Answer: x No Yes
Allow Auto Answer by Call-Info: No x Yes
Turn off speaker on
remote disconnect: No x Yes
That's what stopped my 200's from auto-answering EVERYTHING and also disconnects the phone automatically when the other caller hangs up. (I was getting the rapid busy tone and having to manually hit the speaker off button before discovering this.)
