Help - Outlook is crashing and Extensions are not showing up in HudLite.

Where do I start.....?OK - Clean build of Trixbox2.0, running HudServer 1.4.5 (I can see there's a beta of 1.4.6 but can see how to install it....)Built the new trixbox at home using my home subnet 10.42.46.xx Installed HudLite on my home PC and it could see all the extensions (even though they're not registered with this trixbox yet - because I was at home and the phones are all at work) quite happily in HudLite. Programmed a few mobile and email address and then those relevent icons became active. However my outlook kept crashing - I'll explain more on this point later.I decided to bring the new build into work, and plug it all in.I ran the network setup and plonked it on the work subnet of 192.168.3.xx.Switched on and it booted great - all the phones registered, and calls started coming in straight away..... Great - I thought. At home - HudLite would show all the extentions even though none of the computers at work were either on OR had the new 1.1.160 version of HudLite installed on them. At work, HudLite (v1.1.1.60) only shows extentions Greyed Out and if the HudLite has been installed on their PC - it appears that phone registration with the trixbox server has no effect on what HudLite is showing..... remember this is the same box that worked at home, just now it's on a new subnet. And yes I got all the default gateways etc correct - I double checked.Anyone have any thoughts on this point first.......?So during the install of the new HudLite client I installed the Outlook Integration options. This however is giving me enormous problems with my outlook crashing on me now. If I right click on an email - I get the message pop up saying "Another program is trying to access your contacts...... etc etc" Which I presume is Hudlite trying to give me a "Dial contact" option in the right click menu. However if I allow access (without any timelimit) Outlook crashes; If I grant access for say 10 mins, outlook then denies me any right click abilty. If I deny access altogether I simply keep getting the message pop up, and won't go away.BTW - I'm using Win XP Pro - and Office XP - all fully patched etc etc. This seems to be the same behavoir on all the PCs we have here and the same with mine at home.HELP HELP HELP.Cliff.

Re: Help - Outlook is crashing and Extensions are not showing up

Just Updated the HudServer to 1.4.6, and now my HudClients are reporting all extensions that are setup in Trixbox - registered or not.... which is great.

However, I cannot get the Outlook integration to work at all. I can install the HudClients (1.1.160) on my machines but not the Outlook bits, as this crashes Outlook still.

FYI Outlook version ON ALL BOXES is: 2002 (10.6822.6817) SP3

I forgot to add that HudServer is also randomly stopping - even though the ps wax | grep irc command shows ircd in its list.

Oh and why does this forum randomly decide not to use, but show, the HTML formatting in threads....?!?
Rant over.. :-D

We will have to try to find a copy of Outlook 2002, all I have available is 2003.

The

I can't find a copy of Outlook 2000 anywhere to test it. This is an eight year old piece of software so it seems fair that we should not support it. We don’t support Windows 2000 for HUD. Can’t you upgrade to a new version Outlook?
