Disable call redirection

I've got a system where people are having too much fun using the call forwarding. Someone recently forwarded their phone to an external number, so all incoming calls were being routed to this poor person who had no idea what was going on.

How can I disable this feature on a phone-by-phone basis? I've tried turning off all the feature codes for call forwarding, yet the phone still lets me set it, and it still forwards.

I did a DATABASE SHOW CF, but it listed nothing. Its obviously happening at the phone level. Is there something in the phone's config file(s) that can disable this feature?

That would depend on the phone. You basically want to disable the vertical service codes in a particular phone. I've seen a couple of phones that have a tick block to disable local call forwarding.

You should be able to find what you need in your phone's programming manual.

Sorry that I wasn't specific. I am speaking about the Polycom 500 and 501 phones.

I don't have any of those, but get a copy of the manual and look for vertical service codes.

On the Polycom phones, is it possible to turn off call forwarding from the idle state but still allow the end user to do a manual divert when the phone is alerting?
