I have Grandstream GXP2000 phones installed, and the problem I am facing is that the Ringtone for each Ring Type is exactly the same except for one (1) phone. What is strange is that all the phones are configured exactly the same; however, only one phone has different ring tonesfor it's various ring types. I would like to get my other phones to function the same. Can anyone help me with this? Here is the software version currently running on all phones: Program-- 1.1.4.17 Bootloader-- 1.1.4.6
Grandstream Ringtones
Ringtone files on certain firmware consist of three identical files, offering the same ringtone.
You need to get hold of firmware with 3 different ringtone files.
Download 1.1.2.25 from www.grandstreamsucks.com
In that file you will find
ring1.bin 64KB
ring2.bin 27KB
ring3.bin 58KB
Copy just these 3 files out to your tftboot dir and reboot the phones.

You will then have the new ring tones
on my website. While I realize you are after the default ringtones this page will give you directions how to make your own from any old audio you have laying around. The example I use is the presidential ring tone from the movie Our Man Flint. Of course using the example audio would be immoral, illegal, make your hair fall out, etc unless you pay the blackmail..er...copyright fees to RIAA and get all of the licenses etc. 8^)

A friend of mine has a wonderful witches cackle which I recorded and use and the "ringtone" for my technical support line. 8^)
