Upgraded GXP 2020 to latest beta firmware 1.1.5.10
When we load our custom idle screen, the default soft keys disappear.
Do they have to be re-enabled via the XML code, or, is there a bug.
We would like to move forward with these sets on our client, but are hesitant until this is fixed.
I have the exact same experience.
I was able to put together the idle screen with logo the way I wanted it - but neither the "ShowStatusLine" works, nor can I get the NewCall and ForwardAll default softkeys to display. It's not just a problem with displaying it in the bitmap, because the actual buttons are disabled as well.
There may be additional/undocumented XML parameters, but right now, the Idle Screen feature is worthless.

I recently had this problem and to get softkeys I had to enter the following:
New Call
Missed Calls
Call Return
The action codes are the same as the ones listed on the softkeys, as you can see.
NOTE: these keys don't change. It's not exactly like the original screen where the soft keys change based on whether you have any missed calls or anything like that. However, the in-call buttons do change based on the context
I just loaded the latest (1.1.6.37) firmware on a GXP2010 and this feature still seems to be broken. The XML Application Guide does say as of 4/08 that the feature isn't working, should we read this delay as an indication that the idle screen feature is being (for all practical purposes) eliminated?

The functionality exists, as you can see in that post, but you're right: there's not much information in the documentation regarding the softkeys.
