On other PBX systems that I have seen in use, whenever you would dial an (internal) extension, the name of that extension would be displayed to the caller (sort of a reverse caller ID). I have done much searching, but haven't seem to found how to accomplish this in trixbox. Would it be a feature of the phone used?
CID on dialed calls
You need to set up the info in FreePBX for the extensions. Remember that the trunk CID will or can override the extension CID depending on how you have set it up.
Use the cursor prompts to get it set up the way you want.

Thanks for the help, but that's not exactally what I was talking about. My first post really didn't explain things very well. An example might help:
Suppose you have 2 (or really more) extensions: 201 is John Doe and 202 is Jane Smith.
When John calls 202, his name and number will appear on Jane's phone (regular caller id). However, what I an asking about is John's phone. So, when he calls 202, Jane's name will appear on his phone.
Thanks
It's reverse internal name display.
It is a feature on many systems.
The problem is there is no standard method for getting the information back to the originating endpoint. Since Asterisk/FreePBX support any endpoint that supports SIP or IAX technology and more broadly Asterisk supports many more technologies such as MGCP. ILBC, SCCN etc.
Phone supporting endpoint side scripting such as the Astra's and Cisco's could have an application written to do perform this function.
It would be a slick script for the Aastra's
